The European Union is currently developing the EU Space Act, a proposed regulatory framework intended to address space safety, sustainability, supply-chain integrity, downstream services, and market access within the European Union.
In furtherance of the European Commission’s call for feedback on the draft EU Space Act, GraySpace Consulting, in coordination with the Satcom Industry Association of India (SIA-India), prepared and submitted a joint industry position paper during the formal consultation process.
The paper reflects the perspectives of non-EU space industry stakeholders on key elements of the proposed framework, including regulatory proportionality, third-country access, equivalence mechanisms, and the importance of maintaining international cooperation as new regulatory norms are developed.
The position paper was shared with the European Commission and Members of the European Parliament as part of the Commission-led consultation process and related stakeholder dialogues.
The full consultation paper is available below.
